Campfire Baked Banana

Less of a recipe and more of a reminder to always pack bananas, chocolate and aluminum foil for your road trips. This is a two ingredient, low hassle, sweet treat for cozy evenings around the fire.

Yield

1 serving

Ingredients list

1 Banana

Dark chocolate, 5 or 6 squares

Method

Peel back a quarter of the banana skin keeping one end intact.

Make 5 or 6 slits into the banana and push a piece of chocolate into each cut.

Roll the skin back over the chocolate and double wrap the banana in aluminum foil.

Place on hot coals for 10-12 minutes. If using a large banana add a couple of extra minutes cooking time.

Listen for the sizzle, that’s the banana softening and the chocolate melting. Carefully remove from the fire, unwrap and eat with a spoon straight away.
